The four weeks leading up to Chrismas Day are called Advent, from the Latin adventus, meaning "coming" or "arrival." It is a season of waiting and preparation befor the birth of Jesus, a time to prepare our hearts and our homes for the arrival of the baby Jesus. This time of waiting invites us to take time to slow down and reflect. As we watch Christmas unfold, we hope that you will let the prayers, music, scriptures, activities and more remind you that Jesus is the reason for this season. Many of the images used in this calendar have been done by our own congregation - both children and adults.
