Advent Day 21:
God's Love Is for All
Read together: Luke 2:9-12
An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.
Reflection:
When Jesus was born, the angel said, "I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people" (Luke 2:10). God's love is for all! When Jesus came into the world, his message was inclusive - for everyone. There is nobody in the whole world who is outside of God's love. However, sometimes people feel left out, or ignored, or not important, or judged. When that happens, it is our job as followers of Jesus to make sure they feel included in a real and meaningful way. We can reach out with words and actions to help make sure everyone knows the good news - God's love is for all!
Talk about it:
Who do you know that needs to hear the good news that God's love is for all?
