The Messiah's Coming
December 1, 2020
There is a famous verse in Isaiah 9 that brings great comfort to all who hear it. Much of the hope and comfort that emanates from this verse comes from the titles the prophet gives to the anticipated Messiah:
For people looking and hoping for the Messiah, these names describe what they can expect of him.
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
- Isaiah 9:6
