23rd Day of Advent

Expecting Jesus' Birth

December 21, 2020

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign.

Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,

and shall call his name Immanuel. - Isaiah 7:14

Lighting a candle is a simple yet profound act. It is a testimony to the power of light over darkness. When we look at the world around us we can see pain in suffering. But as we light the candles of Advent we see that the light of one candle shines brightly in the darkness. As we light the candles, we begin our journey to Christmas in anticipation of the day when Christ will return in glory.
