This season, we honor the many ways people experience Christmas through joy, reflection, remembrance, and community. Each gathering offers a chance to be present, to belong, and to experience the light of Christ anew.
Tree Lighting Celebration - December 4th from 5:30-8:00 PM
Celebrate the season at the annual Tree Lighting Celebration, hosted at the Atkinson Country Club, 85 Country Club Dr. We’ll lead a children’s craft area. Bring the family for an evening of holiday lights, fun, and festive spirit.
Kids' Christmas Movie Night - December 12th from 5:00-8:00 PM
A festive night of fun for the kids, complete with crafts, dinner, and a Christmas movie!
This is a drop-off event (parents are welcome but not required to stay).
Free admission — donations appreciated.

Christmas Concert – December 13th at 3:00 PM
Enjoy the music of the season with the Kokopelli Flute Ensemble, the Atkinson Bell Choir, and other talented musicians. Featuring both traditional carols and modern arrangements, this concert will fill your heart with the joy of Christmas. Admission is free, donations appreciated.
Blue Christmas Service – December 17th at 7:00 PM
The holidays can be a tender time for many. Our Blue Christmas Service offers a peaceful, reflective space for anyone seeking comfort amid the season. Whether you are remembering a loved one or simply in need of quiet, you’ll find welcome and solace here.
Christmas Eve Service – December 24th at 7:00 PM
Join us for our cherished Christmas Eve Service, featuring the story of Jesus’ birth, carols, and a beautiful candlelight ending. Together, we’ll celebrate the arrival of Christ - the true light that continues to shine in the world today and in every act of love, grace, and kindness we share.
Epiphany Worship & Celebration – January 4th at 10:00 AM
Celebrate the close of the Twelve Days of Christmas with a joyful Epiphany Worship and Party as we honor the arrival of the Magi, who recognized God the Son as a human being in Jesus Christ. Worship will begin at 10:00 AM at Atkinson Congregational Church and will be celebrated jointly with Hampstead Congregational Church. Following the service, all are invited to stay for a potluck celebration as we gather in fellowship to mark this special moment in the Christmas season.

he sacred season of Advent is a time for reflection and preparation of our spirits. While the season begins with Advent themes of hope, peace, joy, and love, Atkinson Congregational Church, in concert with Hampstead Congregational Church, is adding a new perspective: harnessing the churches’ strong, combined roots to forge new opportunities and growth. In a world that often feels divided or uncertain, Advent reminds us to walk in Christ’s light, to meet one another with compassion, and to hold space for grace in all things.
